Scottish Influencer Admits She Used a Silicone Baby to Fake Her Pregnancy
Social media makes people do strange things.

Last month, 22-year-old Scottish influencer Kira Cousins announced the birth of her baby girl, Bonnie-Leigh Joyce — a 5 lb., 4 oz. bundle of joy. There was just one problem: her “baby” was actually a realistic silicone doll.
For months, Cousins ran a pretty sophisticated fake pregnancy. She wore a fake baby bump, posted videos of her “baby” kicking inside her belly and routinely shared bogus updates from the baby’s nonexistent doctor appointments. Oh, and she even held a fake gender reveal party with her real family in attendance.

She didn’t just fool followers online; she conned her own family. And for that, she is sorry, at least according to posts on her Instagram, where she confirmed she is going to “speak to someone for help.”
The lie completely fell apart once Cousins started posting photos of her fake baby online and viewers, along with her family, noticed something wasn’t quite right. Her “baby” was identified as a hyperrealistic “Reborn doll,” confirming she had faked the entire thing.
It’s unclear why Cousins thought she’d be able to get away with faking a pregnancy, or why she’d want to in the first place. The only thing we know for certain is that her boyfriend is definitely not the father.
