Yes, apparently, Japan, the country that issues public apologies for trains that take off 26 seconds early and is notorious for picking up after itself, still hangs people. I don’t want to get into the whole “morality of the death penalty,” and I can’t speak to what should be done with people who murder, but hanging someone seems a tad outdated.

Although this is the same country that responded to the assassination of their former president by basically saying, “Yeah, that guy did suck.”
