You know what they say: a picture is worth a thousand words. And if the viral photos of JD Vance and Erika Kirk (Charlie Kirk’s widow) could speak, a lot of people online think they know what it would say: “We’re sleeping together.”

In some ways, Vance has already stepped in to fill the void left in Charlie Kirk's wake, both figuratively (as a rising conservative figurehead) and literally (hosting Kirk’s show on multiple occasions). Last week at a TPUSA event, Vance and Erika Kirk embraced on stage, and the aftermath of their hug set off a wave of speculation across social media that the two might be more than just friends.

The photos show Vance with his hands on Kirk’s leader-clad hips, while another angle captures Kirk’s hands wrapped around the back of JD Vance’s head. To many online, the body language spoke volumes. One X user posted, “If someone touched my husband like this, I’d throw hands,” while others expressed discomfort with how intimate the moment appeared.

Another photo from the same event shows Kirk hugging Fox News host Jesse Watters, though that image didn’t seem to elicit the same response.
