There's a Growing 'Dent' In Earth's Magnetic Field
This can’t be good.

Since 2014, scientists at the European Space Agency (ESA) have been using satellites to monitor a weak spot in Earth’s magnetic field known as the South Atlantic Anomaly. The decade-long program, named Swarm, recently published new findings in Physics of the Earth and Planetary Interiors, concluding that the “dent” has grown in size.
According to the ESA, the South Atlantic Anomaly has grown “nearly half the size of continental Europe since 2014.” And apparently, the dent is also “splitting in two.”

The study also found that Earth’s “northern magnetic pole” is moving towards Siberia. While Earth’s magnetic field is a vital protector of life on Earth, there is no immediate threat posed by the anomaly.
