Man Wants to Be Reunited With the Shark That Nearly Bit His Head Off
This is what forgiveness looks like.

In September, Mauricio Hoyos, a marine biologist who has studied sharks for over 30 years, was attacked by a female Galapagos shark while on a research trip in Costa Rica. Hoyos later spoke to the BBC about the incident, seemingly forgiving the shark for nearly biting his head off, saying if he could, he’d love to meet her again.
Hoyos compared the bite to that of a dog and said he knows the shark could have ended his life but instead decided to let him go, an act of kindness Hoyos says he hasn’t forgotten.

He plans to dive in the same place where the attack occurred and says that if he’s lucky, maybe he’ll see her again.
Hopefully, this time, she’s feeling kind.
