A Man Named JD Vance Was Arrested for Threatening JD Vance

A 67-year-old Michigan man named James Donald Vance, Jr was sentenced to two years in federal prison on Monday for making online threats towards Vice President JD Vance and President Donald Trump.
According to the Department of Justice, JD Vance (not the Vice President), posted the threats on Bluesky under the handle “Diaperjdv,” and in one threat, admitted he didn’t care if his messages earned him a life sentence, or worse.

I should note that Vance (the Vice President) was born James Donald Bowman and later changed his name to James David Bowman, before eventually taking his mother's maiden name. It is unclear if Vance (the Vice President) is related to Vance (Diaperjdv).
