Drive around America long enough, and you’re sure to meet a lot of unique people who have put up a lot of strange buildings. From Wisconsin’s Mars Cheese Castle to South Dakota’s Corn Palace, this country is filled with oddities that are out there just ready to be explored.
One such oddity can be found in Powell, Wyoming. In what really feels like the middle of nowhere, the Carmelite Monks have been building a massive area for living and worship, complete with a Gothic-style cathedral.
To do so, they’ve taught themselves how to use modeling software and CNC machines — all funded through the sale of their Mystic Monk Coffee.
The info is that they're building this in Wyoming by selling coffee

Here's their progress https://t.co/cFm5jxoedcpic.twitter.com/cttIsWmaJw
While the project isn’t done yet, there are already plenty of monks who live on the premises, doing monk things like studying and, uh, riding horses while wearing sick robes. If this sounds like the life for you, you can join via the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming website — and, according to the site, past sinners are welcome, so don’t let that “public urination” ticket be the excuse that stops you from committing yourself to the Lord!
BTW the monks are Literally building the Monastery themselves

They saw how exaggerated costs for hiring companies were so they decided to put in the work and learn it themselves https://t.co/4z9N7NnpDFpic.twitter.com/MeUOiREJd8
