MTV Cancels ‘Ridiculousness’ after 46 Seasons
Let’s have a moment of silence.

After 14 years, MTV has finally pulled the plug on one of its longest-running shows, Ridiculousness. With 46 seasons and more than 900 episodes, the fail-style clip show is being taken out to pasture — a move that has more to do with the recent Paramount Skydance merger than it does with audience's appetite for flops and fails.
According to TMZ, MTV is planning to revitalize its brand with “fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming” in an attempt to give the channel a facelift. Episodes of Ridiculousness will remain available on streaming, though Rob Dyrdek and his crew have filmed their final reactions to clips of people hurting themselves for our enjoyment.

What long felt like a vestige of a different time, the fail format many of us grew up watching on AFV, Tosh.0 and of course, Ridiculousness, is sadly now a thing of the past.
