Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups was arrested today in connection with an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling schemes, which, according to the FBI, have ties with La Cosa Nostra, better known as the Mob.
Billups played in the NBA for 17 seasons and earned $106 million over the course of his career as a player. As a coach, Billups’ yearly salary is around $4.75 million. The allegations against Billups alleged he helped rig illegal poker games, using X-ray machines hidden underneath tables, cameras in card trays and even spy-camera contact lenses.

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was also arrested today as part of a separate yet related sting into gambling, per the US Attorney’s office. Rozier isn’t being accused of rigging illegal poker games, but for tipping off friends and betters to “nonpublic information” regarding his health. Rozier, over his ten-year career, has earned roughly $133 million.
