Netflix Buys Warner Bros. and Everyone Is Freaking Out

David Zaslav, the CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery, celebrated Warner Bro. Discovery’s $83 billion sale to Netflix, saying, “Today’s announcement combines two of the greatest storytelling companies in the world to bring to even more people the entertainment they love to watch the most.”
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has assured moviegoers that Warner Bros.' current slate of releases will not change and that, as a principle, Netflix isn’t in “opposition to movies in theaters.”

Gosh, I hope so, as you know, you just bought a movie studio.
You shouldn’t believe what any of these greedy bean counters has to say. Sure, right now, Netflix might offer an olive branch, stating they only want to shorten the exclusivity window of Warner Bros.’ films, though eventually, we all know what’s going to happen.
