As a kid, I didn’t get why the chicken crossed the road, just like I didn’t fully understand why the little piggy went to the market. But as an adult, I understand that the chicken was a sad bird and simply wanted to end it all. The piggy, however, was a product of its environment.

Well, one woman in Florida, who recently stopped to let a chicken cross the road, attacked a man who purposefully ran over the fowl, spraying him with bear mace after he targeted said chicken with his vehicle. He basically was upset that he had to wait and started honking his horn before eventually putting the chicken out of its misery.

Which makes for about the unfunniest (and unfortunate) why-did-the-chicken-cross-the-road joke ever.
