One Last ‘Baba Booey’: The Howard Stern Show ‘To Be Canceled’ This Year
Turns out, putting your show on a service people only get in rental cars isn’t exactly the best business move.

If you haven’t been hearing much from Howard Stern recently, that’s not because he hasn’t been broadcasting. In fact, the King of All Media has been active on SiriusXM for decades now, and his last contract was worth $500 million for five years.
However, now that those five years are coming to a close — and SiriusXM itself isn’t doing too hot — there are now rumors that the network won’t be renewing his contract. That, or they’ll make him a ridiculous offer that he’ll be offended by and then leave on his own accord.
That’s according to The Sun, which cited an unnamed insider who claimed that “Sirius and Stern are never going to meet on the money he is going to want. It’s no longer worth the investment,” and that “there’s no way they can keep paying his salary.”
As for whether he’s going to just go and start a podcast, it’s doubtful. Maybe he’ll get a massive offer to do so, but seeing as he’s been pretty iffy on the concept altogether in the past, it’s possible that this may be the last we hear from Stern for a while — unless he tries to get his America’s Got Talent gig back.
