Oscar-winning British costume designer Jenny Beavan recently shared an interesting factoid during an interview with The Daily Telegraph. According to her, many men come into fittings, are told to disrobe, and are then forced to shamefully reveal they’re going commando.

“It’s astonishing the number of male actors who don’t wear underwear,” she stated.

Consequently, she says she often has to buy celebrities underwear, typically going for a cheaper option from a chain department store. If she doesn’t do this, she says they end up hiding awkwardly behind a chair until they can try something on.

“I think, ‘For God’s sake, if I was going to a fitting and trying on second-hand clothes I’d wear some pants,’” she explains.

So, fellas, if you don’t wear underwear, you’re in good company. Also, start wearing underwear, what’s wrong with you?!
