The Taliban has detained a group of four Peaky Blinders cosplayers, accusing them of violating “Islamic values” by obsessively dressing like English mobsters. The men, who go by the name “Jebrael Shelbys,” are superfans of the Netflix show and post videos of themselves dressed in suits, aura-farming around malls and posing with fancy cars.
A Taliban spokesperson said the men would be receiving rehabilitation for their ways, saying, “A programme for their correction has begun. We, praise be to God, are Muslims and Afghans; we have our own religion, culture and values.”
Reportedly, 4 people in Herat province were detained & sent to rehab by Taliban's Virtue Ministry for imitating characters from British crime series, Peaky Blinders & parading around city resembling the vintage gangsters, an act seen as violating local values.

Asghar Hussaini, the leader of the Jebrael Shelbys, said the group formed simply because they all shared an interest in characters’ costumes and hoped to travel across Afghanistan sharing their passion with others.
However, they won’t be getting that chance.
