If you’re a PC user, you were likely given the option this week to upgrade to a new version of Windows. The update comes with a handful of advertised improvements, including an updated Start menu and a more accurate battery indicator.

However, if you’re considering an update, you might want to hold off —  because those who already *have* updated say it sucks.

A Windows 11 bug is duplicating Task Manager process when you use the 'X' close button to exit it.

This means Task Manager won’t quit on Windows 11, sending each instance to background.

First, there are some basic usability issues. For example, the blog Windows Latest reports a bug where attempting to close Task Manager somehow duplicates it. Trying to close it again will do the same thing — forcing you to manually “end task” for Task Manager in order to prevent this from happening.

Second, some of the changes really feel like the company is just giving you the middle finger. To offer an example, there’s now an option to “Run an internet speed test.” Clicking this will not actually run an internet speed test; instead, it will open up an Internet browser and do a Bing search for “internet speed test,” at which point the Bing website will test your internet speed.

Still, you’ll never convince me to use Linux!
