Portland, why do you always have to be so…Portland? Recently, local soccer team the Portland Timbers played a game that, like many sports games, started with a rendition of the National Anthem. However, this being Portland, they couldn’t just have a singer or a trumpeter do it—no, they hired a woman who plays a saw with a bow. To make matters…better? Worse? I don’t know how it affects things, but because the game was sponsored by the dairy co-op Tillamook, the crowd used every gap in the song to chant the word “Cheese.” I just…I don’t know anymore, man.
