This Is the Exact Cost of the Iranian Attack
War is pricey.

That’s why America, the world’s richest country, is able to maintain military outposts in roughly 80 countries around the world. It’s also why Americans have piss poor public transportation and pay out the ass for basic healthcare.
But how expensive is it really?
Well, Tyler Rogoway, the editor-in-chief of The War Zone, crunched the numbers.
It cost roughly $39M for the 7 B-2s to fly to Iran and drop their payloads. This does not include weapons, all the tanker sorties, all the assets that assisted them to their targets, and all the other mission support. This is based on a $150k per hour cost and 37 hour flight.

According to Rogoway’s estimates, Operation Midnight Hammer cost approximately $150k per hour which comes to a total of $39,000,000 for seven B-2s to fly from the U.S. to Iran and back. That’s not counting the cost to develop and produce the 30,000-pound bunker busters. Nor does it account for the cost to pay military personnel, support personnel or any other support apparatus associated with dropping 14 bombs on Iran.
Yes, that’s a lot of money, but it’s not as much as Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav made in 2024, so, there’s that.
