A state of the art,  futuristic robot was paraded around Russian State television for the nation to revere and admire. Scientists bragged about the advanced technology of the robot dubbed "Boris", even showing off its mobility and dancing capabilities.

However, everything wasn't as it seemed as observant viewers had some questions: Why is the Boris making unnecessary movements? Why does Boris look like he was designed to be worn like a costume? Why does Boris have a human neck?

Well, as it so happens, Boris is, in fact, a £3,000 costume worn by an actor. The costume is equipped with LED lights, a microphone, and a tablet display. So, Russia basically tried to pass a Daft Punk cosplayer as a robot.
