After more than a century of the term BBC holding *vastly* different meanings in the United States and the United Kingdom, meanings respectively embraced as a beloved symbol of national pride and the other recognized as the TV channel with Doctor Who, pop star Sabrina Carpenter managed to accomplish the impossible — teaching the viewers of The British Broadcasting Corporation a little lesson about BBC.

Last week, the former Disney Channel star took a break from evading rumors about her alleged ex-boyfriend, possible cult member Joshua Bassett, to perform a set for BBC Radio 1, adding a *very* horny outro to her already very horny song “Nonsense.”

“How quickly can you take your clothes off, pop quiz,” she sang during the performance, immortalized by only a handful of audio clips. “I’m American I am not British, so BBC it stands for something different, This live lounge just so lit because I’m in it, innit.”

Nice. Though the network initially uploaded the unedited clip to their YouTube channel, double entendre and all, they quickly deleted it, a sentiment that didn’t go unnoticed by the fine people of Twitter, including Britain’s fines douche mogul, Charli XCX.

As word of the spicy performance began making the rounds on Twitter, a BBC spokesperson …. the SFW one … clarified the situation. “An unedited version of the video was briefly posted in error, and the correct version is now available for viewers to enjoy,” a spokesperson for the network — and not the other thing — told Deadline.

BBC: One of the many things Americans and Brits can't seem to agree on.
