You know what they say: if you live long enough, eventually you see memes from your childhood run for Congress. But if you had asked me which meme that would be, I would have guessed the Gardening on Salvia guy, not the ShamWow guy.

Vince Shlomi, who in the 2000s became known as the ‘ShamWow Guy' for selling “super-absorbent” towels in late-night infomercials, has filed to run for Congress against Republican John Carter of Texas.

Shlomi, whose platform is pretty simple – “destroy wokeness” – told Fox News that Charlie Kirk’s death inspired him to pursue politics and called Kirk the original “woke buster.”

I hope the ShamWow is bringing his towels, because as we all know, the swamp has only grown.
