‘Skibidi’ Is Being Added to the Dictionary
What are we doing?

The Cambridge Dictionary, in what’s clearly a desperate attempt to stay relevant (everyone I know uses Merriam-Webster), has added 6,000 new words to its pages this year, including a number of new slang words.
A few examples of this now Cambridge Dictionary-approved brain-rot terminology: “delulu,” “tradwife,” “broligarchy,” “lewk” and “skibidi.” I won’t explain what any of these words mean, not because I don’t care about you, but because if you don’t already know, it’s too late for you.

That said, not all the words added this year are from the mouths of Gen Alpha and their Gen Z counterparts. The phrases “mouse jiggler” and “forever chemicals” can also be found among them, and no, “mouse jiggler” isn’t a derogatory term for people who play Fortnite; it’s a derogatory term for people who have jobs and work from home.
Personally, I think it’s a good move, and that we should fill the dictionary with more brain rot. The ball’s in your court, Merriam-Webster. I better see “gooncave” in next year’s edition or I’m rioting.
