Someone Booked a 200-Mile Uber Ride Because It Was Cheaper Than Flying the Same Distance

There is a lesson in there somewhere.

One man recently pushed the limits of Uber, successfully hailing a cab in Austin, Texas for dropoff in Dallas. And guess what? He actually found a driver to accept it. And guess what? It was cheaper than booking a same-day flight.

There is a lesson in there somewhere.

Twitter user Ti Morse, who I can only assume is a real person and not an A.I., posted about his Dumb and Dumber-style ride that cost him a cool $157 and took roughly three hours. For his services, Ti tipped Moses, his Uber driver, an extra $50.

If Ti really wanted to do something shocking, he should have split the cost with four of his close friends — or 400 strangers.
