Taylor Swift Fans Are Finally Receiving Their Merchandise, and It’s Immediately Falling Apart

Have you heard that Taylor Swift released a new album? I know, we’re all already sick of it — but if you can humor us for a moment, we have a little schadenfreude to attend to.
Basically, this release (like every release from Swift) was paired with a massive merch drop. Before the album was even out, fans were able to preorder large quantities of the singer’s merchandise, which was set to arrive after the album released. Now, that day has come — and the merchandise is already falling apart.
First, internet users are complaining that the quality of the items they received isn’t the best. For example, a “Life of a Showgirl” hairbrush went viral after it split in two — revealing that the entire Swift branding was just a themed label stuck to the brush with a thin strip of glue. The hairbrush, by the way, cost $40 before shipping.
But it’s not just the hairbrush. Internet users are reporting that their Taylor Swift jewelry is arriving broken and their CDs are coming chipped, snapped, or cracked — not just the cases, but the CDs themselves.
Of course, this isn’t the fault of Swift directly; it’s the company producing her merchandise, which has apparently been a longtimeenemy of the Swiftie fandom. So, if you’re a Taylor Swift fan and want to make sure your merchandise arrives intact, you should just buy 14 copies of it — as if you weren’t doing that already.
