The Government Is Accepting Venmo Payments to Pay Off the National Debt
How badly do you want to help reduce the federal deficit?

I doubt enough that you’d Venmo the government your hard-earned money unprompted out of the goodness of your heart. Well, maybe the federal government is desperate enough to assume you would Venmo them out of the blue to help the deficit because they’re allowing people to do just that.
The “gifts to reduce government debt” page, provided to American taxpayers, can be found at Pay.gov if you’re feeling generous. On Pay (dot) gov, you’ll see a description for how you can provide payment along with a few forms you can fill out.
If you are planning to donate your money to the federal government, don’t forget to fill out the form called IAMIDIOT. You can pay using PayPal, your bank account, Venmo, and of course — credit.
