Where are my fellow Paul Dano heads at?

Remember when Quentin Tarantino’s whole thing was watching obscure, old Japanese movies and talking about how great they are? Well, with age, Tarantino has unfortunately become an everyday normie. Gone are the niche pulls; in a recent list, he said his top five movies of the 21st century were “Black Hawk Down,” “Toy Story 3,” “Lost In Translation,” “Dunkirk,” and “There Will Be Blood.” Sorry, when did Quentin Tarantino become my college roommate?!
While offering his explanation for these choices, Tarantino dropped an absolutely awful take. Specifically, he mocked Paul Dano, an actor known for his roles in films like Little Miss Sunshine, The Fabelmans, and Batman.
“The flaw is Paul Dano,” Tarantino said of There Will Be Blood. “Obviously, it’s supposed to be a two-hander, but it’s also drastically obvious that it’s not a two-hander. [Dano] is weak sauce, man…He’s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. The weakest [expletive] actor in SAG [laughs].”
Immediately after this comment was released, people from around the world came together to share their love for Paul Dano.
Some pointed out that Tarantino may have just missed that the weakness of Dano’s character in There Will Be Blood was kinda the point. Others simply recounted all of the amazing performances that Dano has given over his career, citing people like Daniel Day-Lewis and others who have been incredibly complimentary of Dano’s work.
“I have only watched 3 paul dano movies till now but he is literally amazing in whatever role he has done,” wrote a user. “I love how Tarantino is such a [expletive] that he got Paul Dano trending with how many people are loading up…to destroy anybody talking [expletive] about Dano,” shared another. “Tarantino tried to mess with my boy Paul Dano like he doesnt have an entire army of Riddlers to support him,” declared a third.
In short, don’t mess with Dano!
