Don’t they know it’s mostly air?

Groceries are getting more expensive by the minute, so it’s not shocking that we’ve seen some pretty major grocery robberies in recent months. Still, you’d expect thieves to go for things like bread or expensive goods like Nutella — not tens of thousands of dollars worth of whipped cream.

And yet, that’s exactly what happened in Ontario.

According to Global News, a refrigerated trailer filled with 30 pallets of whipped cream was stolen from a local business. The total cost of the whipped cream alone was around $80,000 CAD ($57,000 USD).

Police haven’t announced any suspects yet. If I could offer some advice, I would say look out for anyone eyeing trailers of pancake mix.
