Turns Out There Could Be More to Hulk Hogan’s Passing Than We Thought
Egg on our face for making fun of the people who thought there was more to the story.

When Hulk Hogan passed away, I think it’s fair to say that most people weren’t terribly surprised. It’s sad to say, but wrestlers just aren’t long for this world — something about “getting slammed over the head with a folding chair” and filling your body with muscle enhancers and painkillers isn’t good for the body, it turns out!
But in the case of the Hulkster, some were quick to claim that something was amiss with his passing. His own daughter claimed that bodycam footage would reveal more information about what exactly went down — and now, there’s a new theory that some are floating that could have led to the big man’s demise.
In short, Hogan’s widow, Sky, toldTMZ Sports that Hulk’s phrenic nerve had been “compromised” during a recent surgery. The phrenic nerve controls the diaphragm to regulate breathing, and damage to it can cause respiratory failure. As Hulk apparently suddenly stopped breathing, this could indicate that this alleged phrenic nerve issue could be a factor — meaning the Hulkster may have been a victim of medical malpractice.
That, or it was the result of decades of wrestling injuries finally catching up to him. Only time will tell!
