Dr. Suhail Anjum, a 44-year-old anesthesiologist at Tameside Hospital in Manchester, England, was fired from his job in 2023 for leaving an active surgery to have sex with a nurse in a nearby utility closet. Anjum and the unnamed nurse were caught in a “compromising position” by a colleague.

Anjum, who was presiding over a gall bladder procedure, returned to the surgery after he was discovered with the nurse, and when pressed on the accusation, he didn’t deny them. However, he did blame them on the “stressful time” he and his wife had been experiencing after she gave birth to a premature baby.

A U.K. doctor at Tameside Hospital in Greater Manchester, named Dr. Suhail Anjum, left a male patient mid-surgery to have sex with a nurse in an adjacent empty theater room.
