I don’t need AI to infect my computer with malware; I can do that myself.
The AI debate is tireless. For those of us with brains to think with and eyes to see, we haven’t given up hope that AI might one day help cure cancer. Though most rational thinking adults seem to be turning on the idea that we need AI-powered phone screens, toilets and assistants.
However, that hasn’t stopped Microsoft from moving forward with its new AI agent attached to its newest operating system, Windows 11. The problem is that Microsoft now admits the agent might accidentally download malware onto your computer.

Microsoft says Agentic Workspace in Windows 11 will not only have access to some personal folders, but also your apps.

Yup, the company has issued a warning to its customers, alerting them that the new feature could harm their devices. They advise users to “only enable this feature if you understand the security implications." According to Windows Central, the tool must be turned on manually by the system operator because it poses dangers to users and their data.
