But aren’t you… You’re running for… What?

Twenty-five-year-old Mylie Biggs is running for the Arizona Senate. This is confusing because she was previously on the record saying, quote, “I don’t think women should hold office.”

I know you don’t get points for pointing out hypocrisy these days, but like, c’mon!

As reported by the Phoenix New Times, a year ago, Biggs made an appearance on a podcast called The Matty McCurdy Program. During this appearance, she made some inflammatory statements that appear to directly contradict the very notion of her candidacy.

“Honestly, I don’t know if I would vote for any female. I don’t know if females should be in office,” Biggs said on the podcast. She later doubled down, adding, “There are a lot of really good women in office, I’m not trying to hate on anyone — like, some really good congresswomen. … Yeah, I don’t think women should hold office in general. That’s my position. That’s my stance. I think women should run the home.”

You heard the lady! Don’t vote for her!
