Mark Wahlberg Is Sorry For Ted

If you haven’t noticed, the Pope has been trending lately. Anyone who’s anyone is trying to get a whiff of that holy relevance. “Anyone” also includes the world famous Mark Wahlberg, who on Saturday was one of several notable figures to appear at the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, which was attended by Pope Francis at the end his six-day “The Pope Does America” tour (note: not the tour’s actual name).

At the event, televised on C-SPAN (which is why you didn’t see it), Wahlberg had the unenviable task of following a young soloist on stage. “That was truly the voice of an angel,” said Wahlberg, “But then he whispered in my ear that he loved the movie Ted. And I told him that was not appropriate for a boy of his age.”
