Why Isn't Smoking Banned Yet?

I was viewing Yoshi's newest feature a moment ago, a gallery of disturbing facts, and one of them made me wonder why people as a civilisation can be so retarded in some aspects. This is the picture I'm talking about.

I'm not sure whether or not this is accurate, but even if the facts presented on this caption are false and/or exaggerated, the statistic is most likely very close.

My question is - why isn't smoking banned in the civilised countries yet? I understand that most of the Americans are idiots and if the government banned ANYTHING they'd instantly rebel like the retarded sheep they are "Derr, they terk our liberty, they are violating the constitution!" - but in more civilised countries like Australia? I don't understand that.

So pretty much every scientist is gonna tell you that smoking is bad to your health - cancer, skin damage, discolors teeth, and stinks in general (literally). Most of the smokers started smoking when they were teens - they couldn't resist the peer pressure, since smoking was something cool to them, something forbidden and easily obtainable. Since they were too weak to resist peer pressure, they are also too weak to quit smoking. That's why there's so many smokers.

The overall view on cigarettes is "this shit is bad, you should quit." But instead of banning it (how come meth is illegal, but tobacco is?) the governments are like "we can't ban tobacco cause multi-billion companies would go bankrupt and shit." Boo fucking hoo. So these idiots prefer to have hundreds of thousand smokers die each year than have a few thousand people get laid off and a few company owners to go bankrupt (although it's highly unlikely, if they modify their factories to produce something else).

What else is there that would prevent this from happening? The retarded smokers themselves. Many of them would complain about how smoking makes them relax, and how it gives them a great pleasure to smoke. These people are delusional idiots. Why? Since they are too weak to quit (they would if their simpleton minds would let them) they are living in a world of fantasy, where they enjoy stinking the rooms up with their tobacco stench, they like having dried-up hair, smelly clothes, and their breath smell like dog shit. Of course, they also like spending a fortune on cigs, while you could use the money you spend on smokes in one month to buy, for example, a gaming console.

The idiots I mentioned above are so mindless they would pretty much fight for their right to poison themselves (and others). When a non-smoker would as such a person if it's nice to smoke, they'd be like "sure, here, smoke some of mine." They are so eager to share their cigs, so that others would be like them, caught in the habit. This mindless cycle is what makes young people start smoking. Smokers know they've turned to walking feces (cause they are too weak to quit and they pretty much smell like feces) so they want others to be like them. Which is sad.

Furthermore, the illogical hypocrisy goes further. Take MDMA for example - it's a safe recreational drug you can take casually, for fun. It's non-addictive, it's safe to take for young people and it's... ILLEGAL! On the other hand, a highly addictive drug YOU CAN SMOKE is getting legalised. Why? So why a refined drug like X is illegal but pot is (in some countries and US states)? Because X is made in a lab, not much profit. But pot is a weed, it can be grown on a damned field and sold with 1000x profit. But there's more to that - marijuana is a debilitating drug, it makes people into smelly hippie trash - the kind of a mule that can be easily manipulated. This is great for propaganda, since you can feed these people with anything you want. Best example? The Americans still think that the Moon Landing wasn't fabricated (to the people living outside USA: they SERIOUSLY DO; ask any retard American if they think the Moon Landing was not a hoax, they'll reply with a straight face).

What can be done here? I dunno, maybe show more awareness? More restrictions for the smokers? Or pretty much ban smoking in more civilised countries, so that the rest follows?
