A missionary living with an African tribe is teaching them the good Christian ways of the Western man. One thing he stresses is the evils of sexual sin, as in "Thou must not commit adultery or fornication!"

One day a tribesman wife gives birth to a white child. The village is shocked, and the chief goes to talk to the missionary. "You have taught us the evils of sexual sin, yet here a black woman gives birth to a white child. What the hell has been going on!"


The missionary replies, "No, no. You're mistaken. What you have here is a natural phenomenon; what is known as an albino. Look to the yonder field. There is a herd of sheep, yet amongst them is a black one. Nature does this on occasion."

The chief pauses for a moment, then says, "Tell you what, I won't say anything about the baby if you keep quiet about the sheep."
