15 Emotions In Motion Photos Remembering Billy Squier

Early '80s arena rock at its finest!

Billy Squier’s powerful guitar riffs, massive rock anthems and charismatic performances are perfect representations hard rock of the early ‘80s. With three platinum albums and hits with heavy rotation on MTV, it seemed like the early ‘80s really appreciated him for it.

1984 was a whole different story, sadly. After two highly-successful albums had him opening for Queen before becoming a bonafide headliner of his own, he made a risky, shirt-tearing decision in the now-infamous “Rock Me Tonight” music video that his core fans say “torpedoed his career.”

Let’s not focus on that negativity, shall we? Let’s take a look back on good times that brought us massive hits like “The Stroke” and “Lonely is the Night.” Here are 15 photos remembering Billy Squier in the '80s!
