Gen X, the generation that grew up in the analog mess of the 80s. Before the internet, smartphones, and social media, they grew up surrounded by boomboxes, VHS tapes, and crowded shopping malls.

But this generation was also the first to glimpse into the coming digital revolution. These photos capture that in-between moment when everything was about to change and no one was aware of it.
