When it comes to a product's sales, demonstration, and general success, a superb design can make all the difference. A good, thoughtful design can typically be credited for contributing at least in part to an item's usability, aesthetic appeal, and usefulness.

These products are not those. Maybe these needed a little more thinking from their creators.
