The internet has created so many connections since its beginning, spawning communities and fostering relationships all over the world. The internet has also shown us the people who… don’t have that. People being lonely is not a new concept, but the internet shows us just how lonely people can be, and more importantly, the reasons why they’re alone. Mostly, it’s because they’re insanely weird and off-putting. Despite trying so hard to forge a romantic relationship, there will always be those who are put into a cursed community against their will: the incels.

The often-forgotten aspect of incels is that they’re this way involuntarily. Incels do their best to get laid. It’s often creepy, sometimes admirable, and always hilarious to see internet shut-ins fail with women. Years of screenshotting messages have created prime content for incel pickup lines, a Twitter account nearing half a million followers. Give them a follow, have a laugh, and don’t follow the example set by these poor, desperate souls.
