Back before YouTube or Xbox or Instagram, if you were bored, you went into the garage with three or four of your closest friends and wailed on instruments until you maybe got a gig playing at the high school talent show. The 60s and 70s were the age of the garage band, and honestly nothing has been as rock-and-roll since.
There’s something so cool about being able to discover these bygone bands who never really made it, but still poured their heart and soul into their work. You may not be able to hear their music on Spotify, but you can still feel their determination and just-plain-coolness radiating off of these photos from the 1960s and 70s.
