The humor that comes from getting over on our fellow humans will never die down. Case in point, the cheap skates here who manage to never think about anyone but themselves.

Being extremely frugal could possibly get you ahead in life, but it will also make no one ever want to go near you, so that could backfire in some unintended ways.

The proper way to split a check with your friends is to offer to pay for the whole meal, then pretend that you forgot your wallet. Even though everyone else will be covering your tab, they'll think you're a nice guy and never bring it up again.
