The '70s and '80s spawned the first generation of gamers.
Arcades have been around since the early twentieth century, populated with mechanical games and old-timey attractions. But the arrival of Atari’s Pong in 1972 created the video game market, which was quickly booming. Arcades were suddenly filled with games like Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man, which in turn brought kids in droves to try out the innovative new way to game.
Go back to the simple, retro days of gaming that started the worldwide industry we know today.
