Liam Payne of One Direction has tragically passed away. His family, friends, and fans are in mourning, and really, they should be allowed to do that quietly. But like always, the Internet has other ideas. Twitter has never been the most sensitive, understanding place, but meme makers and posters are going really hard on this one.

The feed is full of sad reactions to the news, conspiracy theories, weird misguided takes, and of course, jokes in poor taste. It’s a crazy story about a very famous person, so that’s to be expected. It should go without saying that if you’re a fan, be sad. If you weren’t a fan, maybe just be quiet. 

Anyway, we post what’s happening online, and this is it. Laugh if you want to, we’re all adults. But at least have the decency to feel bad about it.
