These are a special kind of hell.

While it's true that some breakups happen for perfectly amicable reasons and these people sometimes reconnect later and find happiness, it's safe to say that most of the time when you leave an ex in the past, there was a good reason to close that chapter.

You expect them to stay firmly within that past and not darken your door again, but being the horrible people they are, they always come crawling out at the worst times with the worst things to say.
