There's a saying that goes something like, "Your choices are only as good as your options." Well, these people who came up with their own creative solutions really embody that belief to the fullest. Sometimes getting something professionally repaired either cost way too much, or just isn't worth it in the long run. Other times maybe something is just worn down beyond repair or in a state so dilapidated that it doesn't make sense to waste the time, effort, or money to fix it.
