This past year has been... trying, to put it mildly. Even if you didn't go into this year with any pre-existing depression and/or anxiety, you probably have some by now. I've become increasingly numb to it all, and the gallows humor of these dark memes is one of the few bright spots of my day. I tend to prefer dry, morbid humor in general and that's only become more true as 2020 progressively wears down my sense of optimism even further.
