Amanda Bynes: In 2014, Amanda Bynes was accused of shoplifting a $200 hat from Barney's on Madison Avenue (New York City). She was caught on camera. In the footage, she was seen placing a hat on her head and left the store. Although she insisted she wasn't insane. Security decided to release her later.

Winona Ryder: In 2001, Winona was arrested for stealing more than $5,500 worth of Bulgari jewels and designer clothes from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills, California. When police caught her, she gave a statement that her director suggested her to shoplift to prepare for her upcoming movie. In 2002, she was sentenced to three years' probation and $3,700 in fines. She remained on probation until December 2005.

Britney Spears: In 2008, Britney Spears was caught red-handed at Fred Segal in Los Angeles. She entered the store in a leopard-print top and jeans but when she took an exit, she was wearing a black top. Sooner security noticed her stealing a 100 pounds long-sleeved vest. After getting caught, she told simply that she forgot to pay the bill.
