17 year old Lara Sanson had to undergo a 2 hour operation and received 40 stitches on her face.

The teen wanted to take some poolside pics with her friend's German Shepard.

During the photos, she accidentally leaned too hard on the dog's hip. Being an older animal, it is believed this caused the dog great discomfort and the dog latched onto her face.

She had to undergo a 2 hour operation and received 40 stitches in her mouth.

Thankfully the dog will not be put down.
