When Avatar, the top grossing movie of all time, came out in 2009, most people went about their business as usual. But for a select few, this was more than a movie. It was, against all odds, a way of life. These people longed to live on the planet Pandora among the ten-foot-tall blue Na’vi, and the closest they could get to this experience was to paint themselves completely blue and wear dreadlock wigs.

Look, I get it, Avatar superfans. The movie was cool in 3D. But you guys need to lay off the blue paint. Please find a way to enjoy science fiction movies that doesn’t involve wearing a tail. You’re ruining it for the rest of us who just like spaceships.
