You walk into the party and see what looks like familiar faces. 

But something is amiss: these faces you've seen before yet they are inexplicably foreign, like a perfect replica whose perfection gives it away as an imposter. They speak, but their voices sound as if they were underwater. Or maybe you're underwater. Maybe you're drowning. Your mouth fills with spit and you realize you're dribbling. You've pissed yourself a little, but you don't think anyone's noticed.
