Before there was an app for everything, there were vending machines.
Vending machines are still around of course, but in the mid-twentieth century, they seemed to be everywhere offering everything imaginable. Chips and soda are expected, but there were also machines dispensing out buffets, live fishing bait, lightbulbs, even bathing suits and insurance.
