* Update: This post has been edited for correction, that no Sanna Marin is not a catgirl, and the whole thing was just a troll*

Sanna Marin in the news for going out clubbing until 4 am, while not knowing she was positive for COVID. The report says she left her phone at home and went out with friends drinking, and was unreachable to be informed that she was positive for COVID.

But the story of the day was how English speakers fell for an old Finnish troll job.

1. The Prime Minister of Finland occupies a special place in the hearts of millions. And it's not because she is young and good-looking, or that her cabinet is filled with other young and good-looking women, it's because she's just like the rest of us, she's a degenerat.

So after news that she went clubbing until 4 am while leaving her phone at home, subsequently missing a message telling her to quarantine, many people came to her defense.
2. However, that wasn't the only story of the day in regards to Sanna Marin's personal life. An old meme, pushed by Finnish trolls tricked many people, myself included, that there was a chance that she was secretly an online catgirl. Which thanks to the work of Garbage Day's editor Ryan Broderick, we now know isn't true.

In our defense, you can't blame us for wanting it to be true. We promise to be better.
3. Kudos to the Finnish trolls for getting one over on most of the English-speaking side of Twitter.

While we are sad to confirm Sanna Marin isn't a catgirl, the following images are proof that some trolls are just straight-up weird.

And if you're wondering what the hell a catgirl is anyways, according to the Urban Dictionary definition, a catgirl is, "a cute-looking chick with cat ears, a tail, and maybe paws and a few patches of fur.
